Control and intelligent applications are a vital part of modern large-scale systems in various application areas, such as energy generation and distribution, traffic control and critical infrastructure. Centralized control is being replaced by distributed and more open control systems that possess increasing levels of autonomy. Communication networks and intelligent systems are at the core of these developments. Such systems must be able to recover from the failures and intrusion in order to maintain their functions. Therefore, achieving resilience and security in the complex, interconnected, and interdependent systems of today requires an integrated approach in engineering to address of resilience considerations across all constituent systems, cyber and physical. Workshop topics include, but are not limited to:


v  Cyber-security engineering processes

v  Risk management and vulnerability analysis in complex systems

v  Case studies on security and reliability issues in critical infrastructures

v  Security of cyber-physical systems

v  Security information and event management for critical infrastructure protection

v  Forensic data analysis

v  Distributed reaction and active defence for resilience

v  Privacy and security of large-scale big data platform

v  Secure and resilient cloud environments

v  Model verification and validation for dependability and security evaluation

v  Formal verification, testing, analytical and experimental evaluation

v  Simulation and modelling of resilient large-scale systems

v  Metrics for quantifying the security of resilient evolving systems


Paper Publication

All accepted papers will be included in the Symposium Proceedings, which will be published by Springer as part of their series Studies in Computational Intelligence.

The best papers will be considered for publication in a Special Issue of Journal of Journal of High Speed Networks.
